Looked at Tiger Tickets Board listings for UGA tickets

Not sure who is more unreasonable. The people that need tickets that are willing to pay a "fair" price or the people selling tickets. I admire the wildcards buyers that are not listing how much they are willing to pay and sellers not listing price and asking people to make an offer.

Agreed. When you see the leading..."I can't go....want to sell to clemson fan...t-mail me your offer". Key word: offer. Meaning...I want to make a nice profit while sit at home and watch on tv. I looked into a set and my offer at face value was laughed at. Just sad.

The ticket holder likely had to give a large amount to IPTAY just for the right to buy the ticket. Heck, you couldn't even get a UGA ticket without also buying an SC State ticket, you gonna buy that one from him for face value too?

I never finished my thought yesterday........we really shouldn't have to work during football season.
Define "fair"...... because face value does not truly reflect the true cost. Kind of like labor and wages......what I pay a guy to work for me is not what it costs. The way way some of you people think around here.....I highly doubt you run a business or you wouldn't be so shocked when some =one wants to sell tickets at true cost....plus a little extra

Dittos! It is awful to get to one of our games and see a bunch of dog or coot fans in the stadium, especially in the lower deck. Charge them a lot and put them in the corner of an end zone. It is even worse when you wind up having to sit by one. Pathetic! I refuse to sell one of mine to an opposing fan.

Sometimes circumstances arise that make it more difficult

or even impossible to attend games. I wouldn't want to take my 10mo old to a game like this that would require driving 4 hours, spending most of the day on campus in that kind of heat, and then being out until midnight or later.
I went to the last Gameday day vs GT and spent literally the entire day on campus having the time of my life, but I was quite a bit younger then and things are much different now. If i had 2 tix i would probably sell them and watch the game at home with my family. I would sell them at fair market value too (whatever that is right now), not face. I would obviously prefer a Clemson fan bought them if possible....

You should sell them, if absolutely necessary, to a Clemson fan, or just eat the loss. I do it sometimes (eat the loss, because I will not put Clemson fans in the vicinity of some of the trashy fans who buy these tickets and then attend our games and act like jerks. A real Clemson fan will be glad to take your tickets off your hands. You don't have to sell to a fan of the team that will oppose our team.

Funny, I just came to the board to post about this exact topic. Im coming down from Boston (2003 Alum) and have a great tailgate spot I already found, but game ticket prices are crazy. The saddest part is, there are HUNDREDS of CU Season Ticket holders selling out on the Craigslist (Athens) site and the UGA fan boards. Its horrible. And the prices are gradually coming down as people realize no ones paying $400 a ticket, but its still outrageous.

That is sickening. Why be a supporter if all you are going

to do is sell to the enemy? Tiger football is BIGGER than money if you are a true loyal fan. You try to attend EVERY game if you can to support and stand behind the Tigers.
I would rather have a bunch of poor 1980's style Tiger fans--who would not sell for nothing--standing tall for the Tigers beside me then a bunch of rich Dawgs sitting around me in my OWN stadium.

AThomas,
I am with you, it's called selling out. People care more about money then doing the right thing. I would never, under ANY circumstances, sell my tickets to Georgia fans. No way, no how.

Season ticket holders purposely trying to sell tickets to the opposing fans should be banned from getting season tickets in the future.

Supply and Demand + Capitalism = Opportunity
Aug 22, 2013, 2:23 PM

No one should throw stones at another person for making money, especially considering South Carolina as such a such a red, "less government- fewer rules" state.
If someone wants to sell their tickets and make some of their IPTAY, parking, and tickets money back... leave them be.
Are you saying that if you are a Clemson fan buying a car from a Clemson fan, the seller should make sure to make you a neutral transaction and price it at a break even point?
If you want to wish to buy a ticket, pony up!
Pay your IPTAY dues, pay for parking, buy season tickets, or find a relative who did and bribe the hades out of them so you can go to the game.
Go Tigers. Make sure your play shuts up all the dawg-fans who buy their way into DV.

I'm a current student at CU and my family has season tickets. I assure you my family would not sell out and if for some odd reason they couldn't make it, the tickets would be given to fellow Clemson fans. What I don't understand is what could possibly be better than death Valley on a beautiful Saturday in Clemson Sc?. Go tigers!

My tickets aren't for sale...at any price!!
However, if emergency situation arose where I absolutely could not go....those two tickets WOULD be in the hands of a TIGER FAN!!
