so let’s just have those score or two group of teams play each other which would be like a large CFP but go on for 2-3 months..

with the final 2 teams standing playing for the Natty.

Don’t say that about the sec-least. They’re afraid to play anyone that isn’t in there conference.

The problem is in the fact Clemson,and Ohio State aren't a part of the SEC ,so technically if Clemson can play Bama,they should be have to play South Carolina,because the rest of the SEC wants to play.
However,we just let Clemson,and Ohio St. join the SEC just for this season.That makes 16 teams which could be made into 2 divisions with each team playing 12 of those teams and in the end the top 2 play for the Natty.
Of course,once again we would have to listen to that now famous chant;SEC! SEC! SEC!
