Just ok is not ok

Borrowing from the AT&T ad agency here, but it describes Clemson basketball under Coach Brownell.

He is ok. Wins a better percentage of ACC games than our historical run rate.

But...

Two of his three most recent predecessors had better programs with a ton more excitement about the programs.

He seems to lack the “it factor” that inspires teams to finish games. He’s an ok coach. Not a great coach.

I know our history is mostly lacking, but we shouldn’t settle. The past and present does not necessarily need to be our future. I have no confidence Coach Brownell is the man with the vision, recruiting prowess and coaching ability to take us to a better future.
