It was still light years ahead of what USUK had at the Whorsehoe at the time. At the invite of a friend, I sacked out there ONE Saturday during the 1973 football season to see Nancy's Tate (with Slobber Lou Holtz coaching) destroy the Coots 56-35.

The bed was literally a wooden box with an OLD bag of feathers thrown in for a mattress. If you sat on it too quickly, feathers would shoot out of a hole somewhere. And if that wasn't bad enough, it seemed to have been designed for someone about 5'5". That may be where they got their slogan NEVER AGAIN, they heard me say it way back then. :)

I miss the mustard color metal walls, gang showers, leaky room faucet, stuck window, eternal echo from neighboring rooms and most of all, urine scented stairwells. Ahh, the good ole days. Anyone remember what a mess it was on moving out day? Looked like a bomb went off in the hallways, ??
