I really don't get all the hate for Coach K on this bored

All-time winningest basketball coach, class guy (well other than his potty mouth), and is always complimentary of Clemson, win or lose (and especially when lose).
He got on our team bus 10 years ago to congratulate the team on our win that night. How many other coaches would have done that?
If the referees aren't calling the game correctly, that's a referee problem.
We don't like the Coots trashing our coaches out of pure jealousy...let's not do the same to others.

Coach K, in his infinite generosity, agreed that Clemson had been jobbed out the game and petitioned the ACC to overturn the result, because Clemson had actually won the game.
Wait, no, I don't remember that happening. He just slipped the clock operator a hundy before shaking O.P.'s had and complimenting him on how hard we played.

very abusive and I went to locke's practices. tates was awful to guys. Knight almost every year had a guy or two burn out and transfer. I think Larry Bird was actually there for a year and left. Bobby had the episode where he choked the guy in practice remember

Great coach and always complimentary of Clemson and Brownell. Huckleberry Hound at UNC is far worse, IMO.

Because he preaches decency and sportsmanship and does not show any of that on the sidelines...because at least until this year his players flop on their butts and beg for fouls...because of the 'double standard' the ACC gives him re: calls ( just ask Coach Brownell and Rod Hall)...because he travels with an entourage of assistants that act like he is the chosen one...because he is the only coach I know who has his assistants talk to the network reporters rather than lower himself to talk to them...need any more reasons?

To be fair, I wouldn't talk to the reporters either.
The state of journalism on all fronts is absolutely embarrassing. I don't blame him for not wanting to lower himself into the vice of most of these jokers.
I mean, it might be tacky because no one else does it. But that doesn't mean it's not justified. Have you watched a telecast or read a major news publication lately.
It's sensationalist garbage for the most part.
