Your terrible formatting sticks out.
We know he had a lot of INT's in HS. Really his HS numbers don't jump off the page but numbers don't always tell the whole story.
He's a top 30 overall player for ESPN, Rivals, and 247 and either the #1 or #2 QB in his class. There must be a reason for all that love.
He's 18-20 with 2TD and 0INT's now. Not bad.

I am just trying to offer an explanation as to why he spent the majority of this year as a 3rd team QB. And I am not going to put much value in his stats against the citadel and garbage time against Kent State.

That he was the typical 5 star QB that would come in and start right away, that is, if you follow recruiting. He didn't play great competition out in Indiana and his stats weren't that great. It's really how he performed in the recruit camps that got him rated as the #1 QB. With that said, I thought coming in he'd probably be starting right now just because I thought he was the better of the passers on our roster and has good enough athletic ability to run the offense similar to how Watson did. The staff decided to go with the more experienced player in KB and KB hasn't really done anything to warrant being yanked from the job even though Johnson is most likely the better QB.
Just for those that aren't familiar, here are a few of Johnson reviews from different camps.

Yes, he attempted almost the same number of passes two years in a row.

318 vs 316. What are the odds?

Has nothing to do with his stats and everything to do with what little time he has gotten in. The coordinators and Dabo said he made all the correct reads. Granted, he hasn’t made many but what he has made have been spot on.
Did he know feaster was going to score? No but he picked up the lb coming from the right and the de went wide so he made the correctt read. Don’t care who ur playing, you drop passes in on the receivers aint luck, it’s skill.
I’m tired of all this HJ bashing. Kb is the qb, what’s ur problem? But if HJ had to take over, I have all the confidence in the world.
I’ve seen more than one bad read from kB.

agree with you you on this, he looked exceptional against citadel. I still want to see him against a decent pass rush.

Back at you. Guess that’s one reason I got butthurt he didn’t at least get one or two series in the cuse game. That and I sure wish we were going into tomorrow undefeated. We could lawd forbid Lose and still have a path to playoffs.

He threw an interception every 26.875 attempts ?
I think coaching and scheme well could have been to blame for this , but that's only because I don't know any specifics and my entire premise is based on imagining I'm right .
