Never understood why but on my birthdays, my folks gave me one-way bus tickets...to the west coast. Something about peace and quiet and regaining composure around the household, as the cards went. While at Clemson, they sent cards that read, "DCUWCY," which I learned years later meant, "Don't Call Us, We'll Call You!" lol
Chagrin might best explain my feelings.
