Has ESPN jumped the shark?

Aug 14, 2014, 3:45 PM

While I try not to watch the four letter network any more than I have to, the TV happened to be tuned to ESPN today at my favorite pizza lunch joint. The volume was not up but I did notice that Sportscenter had a rather long interview and performance by Lil Wayne. Nothing against Lil Wayne, but is this what that network has become? Is ESPN now competing against Good Morning America? Can we expect the hosts to now don aprons and chef hats for the bottom of the hour cooking demonstration? Maybe they will bring Cowherd in and the talking heads can giggle like girls about the latest twerking video on youtube.

I know I am probably late to the party on watching the slow train wreck of this network, but resorting to pop/rap performances on a sports show? ESPN is officially out of sports ideas.
