Hard to watch McCaffrey laying on the ground like that...

Sep 21, 2019, 2:41 PM

....especially after watching his Dad's career-ending injury.

I don't like Michigan, but that was the definition of "forcible contact to the head and neck area".

I disagree!!! Defender lead with shoulder, put dresses on them and play two hand touch!!!

argument..but leading your shoulder into the head of a defenseless player is uncalled for n matter how manly you try to act.

Ok, as a defender you can target a certain spot but then the runner changes his position or drops, defender has already committed to an area, what the hell is he supposed to do?
This is ridiculous!

As we learn more about CTE, the rules will likely become more strict in terms of how contact is made. I wonder how manly these players suffering long term consequences of CTE feel? Especially the ones that have had death by suicide.

The game either has to evolve with the medical knowledge that is coming in.. or the game WILL die on the vine. Tough pill to swallow but it’s the reality of the situation.

the game of football is a violent sport people get hurt they

Sep 21, 2019, 4:14 PM

know the risk and in the nfl they get paid to hit and get hit.
the power that be keep on softning the game it will be flag football before long and there will
be more hitting in soccer.
people watch football because its like gladiators of old.

in comparison nascar has made racing so equal and overdosed on rules that there fab base has
left them.
most fans of nascar i know like wrecks and trading paint its what drove the sport for decades.

i am the last person whoi wants to see people get hurt or killed but they do it for a living and love of the game and i dont want to see the game soften any more than it has gotten.

i wiil say if it is a blaten attemp to mame or kill a player then yes throw him out and suspend him.

just an old mans thoughts.
