Very encouraging news!

Honestly, I hope we do not need to risk playing him this season unless he is totally 100%.

We will need him in a big way in 2014 when our only QB with meaningful game experience will be Cole Stoudt.

I know many are expecting Deshaun Watson to waltz in and take over, but think back to where Tajh Boyd was as a true freshman and be prepared to see Watson struggle a bit when he gets here.

IMHO Chad Kelly and Cole Stoudt are going to be battling for #1 and #2 all of 2014 and hopefully Watson gets to RS.

Yeah, 2 and 1/2 months after surgery you can run in a straight line. Jog at least. He can't cut at all. He'll be fine, but forget about him this season. Won't happen. And it will be a huge mistake if it does, but good to hear his progression is normal.

Can't endanger a young man's future. With success and luck, he'll be playing football long after he graduates from Clemson.
