I thank the Almighty that Chad is the DC and not you.

Morris: do you wish we still had Chad Kelly?

Because I do

Some fans are pitiful

Pre-season fan on C. Kelly: Gah, I'm sure glad we booted Swag Kelly, he's an embarrassment to the program.
Later in the year on C. Kelly: Gah, why'd we let go of Swag... Tired of bible-thumping Dabo kicking people off the team when FSU can have felons. Fire Dabo!! Fire Chad!!

Last few years fan on C. Morris: Gosh, I really love how dynamic our offense is. We sure have the best O Coord in all of football.
Last few weeks fan on C. Morris: Fire Chad!! Can't believe he's using a dual threat QB to run the ball. How dare him!!

Last couple days fan on D. Watson: Can't believe Morris used him to run the ball, he's not a RB!! Hope he gets better so we'll have an offense again (not concerned about his long-term health, the Carolina game is more important)
Last 12 hours fan on D. Watson: Great news, we may have him for Carolina. We should play him even if he's not 100% and just use him in the pocket, because that will still give us a better shot than with Cole.

I know this doesn't apply to everyone, but those that it does, take a look in the mirror. I am disgusted by what I've seen since the injury from both Carolina fans as well as our own. It's football people, and I love to win to, but some of y'all sound selfish and foolish. Great way to represent our program.

How do you consider people wanting Watson as an option as selfish or foolish? The injury isn't a serious one if it's a mild level of sprain. In fact, it's one less area on injury than Shaw had after the Tennessee game last year just before the Missouri game (in that game, he sprained his LCL and his MCL). Next game, Thompson stinks it up for 3 quarters, then Shaw walks in 4th quarter, leads a massive comeback (running and scrambling too on those legs) to win the game. That shows that it is indeed possible to recover quickly from this type of injury if it's not a serious level sprain. Now just have to see if Watson does make a speedy recovery, but why would you not want to put him in if he is indeed back healthy (like Shaw was)?

If he's healthy, then by all means, play him. I'm pretty sure I didn't say that we shouldn't play a healthy Watson. Heck, I'd play him even if he missed all of next week's practice. I was referring to some comments I read about playing him at less than 100%, meaning risk of further injury. Take the comment as you want, but it still sounds foolish to me. I used the term selfish to describe fans that saw the ramifications of the incident as "we will lose to USC again" versus "I hope he's okay".

I think the "lose to SCar" comments are more on the fact that progressively as the season has went on, Cole has gotten worse, not better, and the coaches have sugar coated it (a narrow win against a not so great Wake isn't really something that says Cole did good, even if they say he won MVP...just says he did good enough managing the game to not lose it). His loss and crash/burn against GT counters it. I think mainly no one wants to put that game on his abilities at this point. Just as he has lost confidence in himself, I believe most fans have lost confidence in his ability to rise to the occasion and regain the confidence, as well as his actual playing abilities, even if they want to support the team and the players. Deshaun so far has been the only guy that seems to be fully capable of playing at a high level in this offense.

As far as Watson, it's honestly going to come down to what degree level that sprain is.
"In general, milder Grade I and Grade II MCL or LCL sprains heal within 2 to 4 weeks, but other types of knee sprains may take 4 to 12 months."

If his is closer to the 2 week recovery level (which his ability to walk out on his own, no limp and weight being planted easily on the knee without a look of buckling would possibly suggest could be feasible), then some rehab the next 2 weeks and possibly a knee brace for stability could be all that's needed to have him in there (similar to how Shaw was able to miraculously be in that Missouri game)...now at what degree he'll be in could be the question (might not start but may share in the snaps depending on the game and how he looks if they throw him out there).

Are you a doctor? Have you participated in any of the diagnosis or looked at the MRI? Just pray that he is well and will get better instead of figuring out a way to play him.

It looks like you are looking to throw him out there based on what your Google search says...

Ginger_Ninja probably voted for Obama and now complains about rising taxes.

Opinions can and will change over time. I could handle coots pretty well 10 years ago, when they were losing every game against us. Now, I cringe if I meet someone that likes them.

No, but I have has a sprained LCL..have you?

FYI, only difference is I wasn't on a football team so my knowledge on what is affected athletically is more limited. I do know I could walk and run fine after about a week...hardest thing for me was in bending my legs/squatting in sitting style positions. Had slight "give"/shake feeling in the knee and slight sharp pain for a moment at the injury site (outer edge of the knee). As far as pressure walking, didn't hurt...standing was fine unless it tried twisting my body while keeping foot in the same position. Then sometimes there'd be a small pop.

But yeah, again, I know what I could do during my stint (feel like I could have possibly played some football with it after 2 weeks of healing (especially if I had a special fitted bracing like Watson likely will have soon).

I for one personally think that if he is any where over 75% then he should play, any player who has had an injury during the season & comes back is probably not 100%. Most of our oline is playing hurt, backs are running hurt & bruised up. Its football & you only get one chance during the season to win that game. As long as he feels comfortable, we should feel comfortable. We will all have our fingers crossed that he is good to go on the last game of the season.

that is exactly how I feel about some our fans too. TU to that!

Freak injury. No contact. Run plays early

Posted: Nov 18, 2014, 9:29 AM

would have set up a route passing to #3 and #5 and #7. Most would be calling Morris a genius had that happened. By the way, Scott simply didn't catch that ball. Yes, it was high but it went right through his hands.

I may be in the minority but I had no problem with him running the ball. He missed the last 3 games and I thought he would be a little rusty and gittery. I think he was running well and getting into the flow of the game. I think Chad would have cut back on the designed runs once he got into the flow of the game.

it still baffles me that so many people on here are mad about him running so much bc he could get hurt. He got hurt without "CONTACT" freak things happen sometimes. Also he was recruited for His Dual Threat talent. If ya'll don't want him to run then you are minimizing the abilities he brings to the table.
