ESPN too early 2019 All Americans - 4 Tigers make it

Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, John Simpson, and Xavier Thomas all make it. This is first team only.

I was surprised to not see Higgins or Ross but also surprised to see Simpson make the list.

Ross is definitely AA caliber but we are too deep at WR

and spread the ball out too much to have that one dominant WR that racks up monster stats.

True but Higgins had almost 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns while Ross had exactly 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns. With another year of geling with Trevor and relying less on the run game than we did in 2018 early on, Ross and Higgins should each have 1,200 yards and 12 TDs.

One of those SEC players is a Bama linebacker that missed all of 2018 and 10 games of 2017. How he made it is beyond me.

They probably thought, “Crap, we accidentally left Bama off of the defense entirely!”

“But there is no left right now worthy of making it - the ones that were left to go pro.”

“Well then find a player that hasn’t played in a while so we can simply point to his potential rather than play on the field!”

He's smoking something if he doesn't think Ross or Higgins is first team. They are going to light it up next year considering our QB situation and weak schedule.
