Clemson Weeks at #1 in AP Poll

Clemson, as you know, is currently #1 in the AP Poll for the 20th week (and counting) all time. That puts us at 17th all time and ahead of these notable programs:
- Tennessee (19)
- UGA (15)
- Washington (15)
- Auburn (9)
- Oregon (9)
- TAMU (6)
- UVA (3) - I just thought it was interesting that UVA was ever ranked #1!
- UNC (1)
- Wisconsin (1)
We're in striking distance of 12th place if we run the table this year, which would leapfrog:
- Pitt and Penn St (21)
- Army (27)
- Michigan St (29)
- Michigan (34)
Notably, these teams are among the programs to have never been ranked #1 in the AP Poll since it started in 1936:
- Duke
- GT (even their National Title-winning season in 1990 was a #2 AP finish and #1 Coaches)

That was a ###### Pitt team that they lost to, and i think they would've had a decent shot of beating Ohio State in the title game.

What us our streak since 2015? How does that compare to other teams in same number of years. Bama and maybe ND have thar kind of runs put together but not many more.

I always thought Duke was #1 in 40 when the Rose Bowl was moved to Durham because of Pearl Harbor? I think that was the Duke team that was undefeated, untied and unscored upon???

You're thinking of the 1941 team--they did play in the Rose Bowl that had been moved to Durham because of the 12/7 Pearl Harbor Attack.
They were ranked #2 in the AP Poll and lost the Rose Bowl to #12 Oregon St

Go to Winsipedia and compare Clemson to Florida.
What you will find is, when it comes to accomplishments achieved on a football field, Clemson leads Florida in most of those. Florida does have a slightly better win percentage overall.
When it comes to anything that gets voted on, Florida dominates Clemson.
For the most part, Clemson and Florida have similar records, but Florida has been #1 for double the amount of time as Clemson.
It’s one of the better cases that can be made for SEC bias
