A great Tiger has passed

My 104 yr old tiger fan gdad passed last week. A true tiger.....a man of high morals, high integrity, and incredible character. He lived his life like he wanted, doing what was needed to provide for his family, then as we came along providing for each and every little want the grandkids had. I can remember sitting at his house over Christmas vacations watching bowl games and football games as they were available where he lived. I made him an alumni through my work at Clemson because he had a lot to do with the fact I went to school period.
I have taken a ton of life knowledge from him but none more important than "take care of those that care for you!" If that's not a tiger family statement I have never heard one.
So...farewell gdad, I know now that you and gma are together again and you will root for the tigers from a far better place than we live in.

that really hit home. I relate to much of that. Sorry for your loss, but sounds like you were blessed with a wonderful mentor and Grandfather, and he a wonderful Grandson. Great post!
