Isn't an anomaly. Winning two of three means there should be one upset every year. Granted, it's not on par with, say, a 16 beating a 1, but it's not exactly common. ;)

I didn't go back all that far, but 2015 was the only year I found where the 5 seeds won all 4.

In both 2013 and 2014, 12 seeds actually won 3 out of 4.

Since 1985 it's only happened 3 times that all 5 seeds won before this year. 1988, 2000, and 2015.
