They like to set the rankings early and then never change them so they don't look so wrong. That's the only reason Mitchell Mayes is still a 5* OT when he is probably not even a top 150 player and will probably play OG in college.

I think the reason there is so little new info on ESPN about recruiting is because they only have one or two guys involved in it. 247 and Rivals have fresh stuff every day.

Mitchell Mayes definitely is no 5* and DJU at #48 is just ignorant. I'm going to give ESPN a slight benefit of the doubt and assume both guys will be adjusted sometime prior to spring practice.

I wish 247's composite ranking was just them and Rivals, without ESPN.
