Unfortunately, you only have 2 games left on your schedule to prove anything. FSU at home and at USC are the only two quality games left on your schedule. That seems kind of depressing.

Playing 3 high quality opponents is better than most schools. Look at SCar they only play UGA and Clemson this year.

You only have 1 left to prove yourself, and it's against us.
Beating Florida at home doesn't prove anything. Sorry bud. That's a game you should win. If you want to use that one, tell me with a straight face you wouldn't rather play the Gators than FSU this season. So we're 1 up on strength of schedule.
As for the rest of your schedule, nobody outside of Cola thinks beating Vandy, Kentucky, UT, Arky, Mizzou, or Miss St. is anymore impressive than beating NCSU, Syracuse, BC, Maryland, UVA, or GT. Throw those 12 teams in a pot and they're all going to finish between 8-4 and 5-7. Nothing impressive about either.
We've already proven more this year than the #####, and come November we'll get a chance to prove that the order in this state has been restored.

to also consider what was/ is required to achieve that. Comparing now and then is almost impossible. So much is different that I've finally learned to stop using the benchmark of the NC to compare the state of the program of today except for 2 points:
1- Clemson is once again a national powerhouse and will be on an annual basis.
2- Clemson is still that uniquely special destination school that it was then. There is nothing like Clemson.
This is coming from a die-hard Danny Ford fan that is still coming to terms that he is not really God.
I humbly submit that Clemson glory days are back and potentially may even surpass that. I know 30 or so years from now I'll look back saying I can remember exactly where I was and can see it like it was yesterday just as I did on my turn-knob TV then.
