Seventh Woods

Nov 13, 2014, 9:52 AM

Have we not offered this guy? I've seen his highlight tape and the kid can play. He is a in State prospect that we should jump on for the class of '16. Any information why Clemson has not went after this guy?

Thought they did, but he wants to go elsewhere***

He's only 15 years old....

and while Clemson, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wichita State are among the schools recruiting him the hardest, as good as he is at 15, we’re a long way from seeing him max out. His ceiling is extremely high because he still has a lot to learn from a game standpoint. As he continues to grow, improve and learn the game, you may see him completely forego college for the NBA.

You cannot completely forego college for the NBA. That being said he is UNC bound.

Youy're right....

Nov 13, 2014, 10:08 AM [ in reply to Re: He's only 15 years old.... ]

since 2006 (I believe), the practice of drafting high school players has been prohibited by the new collective bargaining agreement, which requires players who entered the draft be at least 19 years of age and at least one year removed from high school.

That said, the player does not have to play at least a year of college basketball. Instead, they can play in another professional league (i.e., overseas).

That said, I do think he will opt to play collegeiately somewhere but he's likely a one or two and done.

I know that, but you said NBA. Also, not a lot of players choosing to go overseas and see their draft stock plummet
