Someone please explain how this kid is gonna get In school this year. He dropped out of hs early so that he would have 2 summer sessions and the fall and spring and another summer to get in. That seems like a pretty tough thing to do for someone that was good at school, not someone who had to go to juco. Also someone posted on here yesterday that a juco had to be in school for at least 3 semester not including summer school. If that's the case (which I don't know if it is) then they must think they can get a waver. I could see why it would be to protect the juco that has money invested in kids. I just don't see it happening.

That sounds like something scar would tell a player to do without considering the results

simple...USuC will use the learning disability clause they used to get Ricardo Hurley and Demetris Summers (and possibly Doo Doo too) in.

This is the kid who didn'graduate from high school....

Instead he got his GED and then enrolled at a Junior College for the 2014 season.
If he is qualified academically (and that's probably a BIG if), he would be able to enroll this up-coming summer or fall and have three years to finish four years of eligibility.

What I'm saying is he can have the 48 hours needed to transfer but he wouldn't have the 3 semesters. I don't see him getting in. It would really hurt juco programs to start letting kids do this. They would have nothing but first year players

Rivals has got him listed as one for 2015, also has him coming in on a visit on 1/23. My question is without a waver or something. Isn't this the same as bring in a freshman juco player on an official visit which would be a violation of ncaa rules.

I believe Sawyar's deal is - if he graduates with 60 hours it doesn't matter.
Get you GED then "graduate" early from high school and enroll in a diploma mill JC and 20 hr. per semester plus summer school and you've basically redshirted one3 year and get in to college under JC guidelines not high school guidelines.
