Our biggest enemy is the RPI. Someone is going to get in one day with an RPI in the 70's, so lets see if we can get it there and make some history. I still think there could be a lot of movement on the bubble over the next 2 weeks. However, there can't be any more losses. Another loss and it becomes win the ACCT to get in. I still think we can get in without getting the auto... but it's a tall task.

For example... according to RPI Wizard... as things stand right now... If Clemson wins out in the regular season, then beats a VPI and Notre Dame in the ACCT, and loses to UNC... our RPI would be 73

Good thing is... not many teams are taking advantage of the opportunities...

What is the point of "getting in" ? So what if if we barely scrape in and get bounced in the first round? When was the last time we made it past first round?

we have to win the next 3... see where our ACCT seeding falls... and then try to get 1 or 2 there. GT beating Pitt helped, as a win Tuesday would be another top 75 win.

We currently have 7 wins against the RPI top 75, and 4 wins against the RPI top 50. UVA would make 5. That's a lot.

But even if we win out... our RPI will likely be low 80's entering the ACCT... unless some crazy things happen like UMASS and Minnesota going on a run.

It would be cause for interesting conversation for sure.


What we do have going for us is that bubble teams are losing left and right, and no one's resume is especially strong. If we get back into the conversation, the top 50 wins would be favorable to us... but RPI is killing us.
