I have not heard anyone discuss the possibility of a return of the missing piece(s). This is like a kidnapping. The most important thing is the return of the missing piece. Even more important if it is whole. If so, some engineering students can whip up some super epoxy and we can put it back together. If the rock is found to be in the possession of someone, the proper person(s) can use said rock to gently bludgeon the criminal prior to returning the piece to its original position. That way the rock may have been cracked, but will remain whole and a certain criminal will have learned a lesson. If a few pieces of scalp and hair remain on the rock piece, that's ok too.

repair it or smooth the broken edges. I want the players to see what someone took from them every time they stand at the top of the hill. I want current players and future players to fill with anger everytime they see it. Then I want them to unleash that anger on every opponet, as if they were personally responsible for this cowardly act.
