how are we playing Ohio State instead of Washington ??? conference champ is #4, idle team #3 ?????
and should it have been ohio state or penn state for the #4 spot...help me, here.

You don't have to be a conference champion to have a higher seed, or even make the playoffs. Where did you come up with that?

There are arguments for both teams to be in and Michigan. Not a perfect system.

not sure how you're not getting what i'm saying. this seeding entirely discounts the conference championship game system. why play it if it's not important. by playing, we could have lost dorian o'daniel for half the playoff game against them if his targeting penalty was in the second half of last nights game. what if season ending injuries occurred last night?
this whole thing makes no sense

to take into account the conference championship games (see my post above) BUT the Committee decided to throw their own explicit criteria out the window today in favor of some unknown, amorphous, wholly subjective criterion to put OSU in.
