looking at bamas schedule for W's against teams with a pulse

Dec 4, 2017, 11:58 AM

found 1... maybe 2... 24-10 win against LSU (when LSU was still 'finding' themselves) and 27-19 against Texas A&M who just fired their coach. Some would argue, Mississippi State, but they got trounced by Ole Miss.

They lost to the only true quality opponent they played.

Looking at our schedule....

14-6 W vs Auburn
31-17 W @ Va Tech
38-31 W @ NC State
38-3 W vs the U

Yet, Vegas and ESPN think we're the dog.

Ok!

Go Tigers!

Vegas sets the line based on public perception, not who they think is the best team.

ESPN's FPI is straight garbage.

Exactly. Vegas is trying to balance what should be the true line with the knowledge that there are a ton of people that bet Bama every game because they blow up inferior competition which the public loves.

Miss St was a good W. Ole Miss did not trounce them and their QB got hurt in that game. The FSU game was impressive as well. They look like any other good football team though. They do not look better than any other top 10 team. Their D has holes and their O is running the ball and throwing it deep every now and then. We can beat them like we beat any other solid team we have played.

Good points. IMO, we got exposed by Colorado State of all schools. Also, Fresno State wound up finishing their season at 9-4 and just outside of the top 25 so that one could also factor in. Our Defense is porous and our Oline is weak. Both gave us problems in the Iron Bowl and could in the Sugar Bowl as well. Hopefully we can shore up those before Jan. 1st...

If you bet against Vegas re: Clemson-Bama last 2 years you

you should be rolling in the money right now.

The day still has not arrived when Vegas will make Alabama an undedog in ANY game, let alone a CFP game.

Maybe after we win it all again this year, the "Tide will Turn" ... so to speak.
