Final 4 what if

The way today has gone it now looks like OU & IA/MSU winner are top 4 locks. Obviously Clemson and Alabama round out the 4. IF, the Tigers lost the ACCCG, wouldn't it be picking between Clemson & OSU? Isn't Clemson's resume better? And could we really get passed for a 2-loss Stanford, one-loss IA or gasp UNC with THAT schedule?
Goes without saying I hope this never happens, but I'm curious. It's getting frustrating listening to how some losses matter and some don't (Ole Miss, Texas)

I don't think anyone could get in losing their last game. Unless it was 2 undefeated teams playing in conf championship.

I know, just grasping I guess.
In essence, Clemson and IA/MSU are playing quarterfinal playoff games while OU and Alabama get bye weeks

I wouldn't say Bama gets a bye week. They still have to play a game against a decent opponent.
Now I don't think it's fair that the Big 12 doesn't have to add 3 teams and have 2 divisions and a champ game. Seems like a significant advantage to just sit and watch the last week.

IF that happened we would be out, but not without good reason to complain. We would be one of several one loss teams griping about no 8-team playoff etc.

Heels beat us- they are in
Bama loses- committee must choose between Ohio State and Clemson. I think Clemson gets the nod.
Let's not put that decision in the hands of the committee
