The Heisman.......

If there was ever an individual player who has been a shining example of honor, integrity, determination and humility for all of the college football world, that player has been Hunter Renfrow.

The Heisman, supposedly, recognizes performance. However, as our nation's most coveted award in college football, it should honor a player who represents the best overall team member...one who is worthy of respect and emulation from his peers and from our youth, our future players.

There will always be top performing players on each side of the ball, but men like Hunter are a rare breed...always have been, always will be.

My regret is that someone, somewhere and at some time failed to see what Hunter has demonstrated and led the Heisman into a deeper, richer and fuller meaning by recognizing individuals like Hunter for their service.

Hunter Renfrow....a real Heisman Award winner!

the past few years.

And that's a shame, the blame for which I place directly on the Heisman Committee for allowing the likes of ESPN to dictate the agenda.
