Sammy were not in the game in the 3rd quarter and had to warm up again on the side lines to go back in when State was making another push......I know we were up big, but our defense played terrible and I thought they should have still been to keep State down, but they got back into the game.

they thought it was over when we got the big lead and forgot how we play defense or should I say don't play it

since we were up by 30, I am going to go out on a limb and say it was to give the reserves some playing time.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken, there is a big game next week and it would be nice if they were healthy and rested.

Look I'm not happy with the defense either, but the reason NC State got bank into the game was because of bad special teams, loss of focus, and sloppy play. Giving up a 90 yard kick return, and throwing a pick deep in your own end on the next posession. Is not the Defense's fault.
The defense is what it is. They will win some and loose some, but Clemson needs to cleanup their play some (special teams), and keep their Focus. Don't make the unforced errror. If Clemson can do this they will win by at least two touchdowns.

Agree. I hope this isn't the precursor of a return to Bowden's, "special teams, who needs special teams days". IMO, in the Fla. State game, we pooped our pants right after we went up 14 pts., and then gave them an outstanding return on the kick-off. Kick the rock through the goal posts and make them earn it from the 25.
That is all.

Kick the ball out the endzone and it solves problems. And yes the pick was a bad one he never saw the safety.. but he will go over the film and get better..

I wonder what we would be bitching about if one of those two got injured, with the that huge lead. Remember, Tajh took a shot towards the end.

55-24 lead. Defense screwed the pooch yesterday and almost got Tajh hurt as he had to remain in the game due to their ineptitude.
