No excuse at all, but I'd like to know what adults encouraged or were aware this was gonna happen. Hard to believe to hs football players would go rogue if they didn't think their coach at least had their backs.

Not saying it's the case in this episode, but I do remember playing in a game when a ref kept standing right between me and the other linebacker. I complained to my coach who said something to him, but also told me if he doesn't again just run him over. Fortunately he backed up, but I remember thinking why does this guy have to stand right where we're going depending on where the ball goes. In that video if definitely looks like the safeties went out of their way to put a hit on him though.

Agree , they tried to hurt the guy . It's despicable, and they should be expelled since it happened during a school sanctioned event. No place for that kind of foolishness in sports , at any level.
