every one fussing about battle's punch, here's another

Sep 20, 2013, 2:39 PM

little tidbit. didn't usuc's COACHES get in a fight last week ? jeez, give it a rest.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

my problem is people saying "I like the aggression"...

Sep 20, 2013, 2:42 PM

that's moranic...

That wasn't aggression. That was being a cowardly thug.

Now, I hope he figures that out, realizes the mistake, and turns the corner.

But for me... it almost the same as the LeGrange incident a few years back.

not near the same. that boise state incident the guy snuck

Sep 20, 2013, 2:46 PM [ in reply to my problem is people saying "I like the aggression"... ]

up on the other guy and waylaid him. battle walked up, in the face of the guy and knocked him 4 yards ( and you don't think a little acting was done for that to happen)if you uppercut someone, he's not going to fly 12 feet backwards, i don't care how big or small either are!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yea yea... it was on the field to another player,etc........

Sep 20, 2013, 2:49 PM [ in reply to not near the same. that boise state incident the guy snuck ]

it was the same type of attitude... He was even dancing like he had "done something"...

really?

Thuggish.... it was as far from "aggressive" as you can get.

you neglected to say anything about the 4 yards. look it up.

Sep 20, 2013, 2:51 PM

and then come back and tell me something.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

what are you talking about?***

watch the hit. the nc state guy propels himself backwards

Sep 20, 2013, 2:54 PM

then come back and tell me i am wrong.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

what does that have to do with anything?

Sep 20, 2013, 2:56 PM

It was a thuggish move and has nothing to do with the "aggression" you want to see in an OL...

I don't care what the DB did... watch Battle's body language after. He acts like he's on the streets in a gang fight

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

he's expecting retaliation ( which he did), so yes, he's

Sep 20, 2013, 2:58 PM

backing up. have you ever been in a fight?

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: what does that have to do with anything?

Sep 20, 2013, 3:00 PM [ in reply to what does that have to do with anything? ]

I have absolutely no problem with NOT taking any chit from a mouthy POS. If that shut the little effer up, then so be it. Glad Battle laid him out.

While that little jerk is eating thru a straw today, he can think about his actions next year when he comes to our house. I hope Battle remembers him.

Now go change those panties and let's play some football.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nope, not four yards.

Sep 20, 2013, 3:49 PM [ in reply to watch the hit. the nc state guy propels himself backwards ]

Looks more like a yard and a half from where he was standing to where his behind lands, therefore you are wrong.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

so from the 17 to the 21 is not 4 yards? if you say he was

Sep 20, 2013, 5:57 PM

on the 18, it was 3 yards, that's still 9 feet. come on, quit reaching.have you ever seen anyone knocked out ? they don't go no 3-4 yards backwards.

not sure what "acting" and backing up has to do with it. Battle still cheap-shotted him under the face mask which is uncalled for. I understand tempers flare, but he needs better control. He deserves suspension for the next game IMO. I love Clemson, but we are better than that. Leave the thuggish acts for our friends in Cola.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

eehh.......i bet that DB thought it was pretty aggressive...

Sep 20, 2013, 2:48 PM [ in reply to my problem is people saying "I like the aggression"... ]

what was cowardly is the teammate that just pointed at him like he was telling on him rather than "having his back"

I'm not saying what battle did was ok, he should and will be punished, BUT i do like the show of aggression.........especially coming from an Olineman.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

him throwing an uppercut at a DB has NOTHING to do

Sep 20, 2013, 2:50 PM

with being aggressive off the ball or hooking up with a LB and driving him...

absolutely nothing and to suggest it does is laughable

ejected.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

it's better than seeing South Carolina...........

Sep 20, 2013, 2:54 PM [ in reply to him throwing an uppercut at a DB has NOTHING to do ]

talking crap and knocking the ball out of our backup QBs hand prior to the game last year and our team stood around like little kids being bullied.

a little attitude is NOT gonna hurt this team.

did he go about it wrong? YES
should he be punished more than the minimum? YES
cowardly?.......no

he'll learn we'll move on and this time next week this game will be so far away we won't talk about it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Suggesting that the punch was akin to the Blount incident

Sep 20, 2013, 4:30 PM [ in reply to him throwing an uppercut at a DB has NOTHING to do ]

is equally as laughable.

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was stupid, that is it. It wasn't cowardly.

Sep 20, 2013, 2:50 PM [ in reply to my problem is people saying "I like the aggression"... ]

The guy that got punched was looking right at him, running off at the mouth, and may have tried one of weak little head butts if he was tall enough.

It is nothing like the incident you mention where one guy was talking off and got blindsided.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

moranic isnt a word.

Sep 20, 2013, 3:20 PM [ in reply to my problem is people saying "I like the aggression"... ]

I believe you were looking for moronic.

"No one knew we were overhyped until the season started." - Classof09

Why don't you tone down your judgement considering

Sep 20, 2013, 3:22 PM [ in reply to my problem is people saying "I like the aggression"... ]

you are one of the most well-known jokes on Tigernet? If your perspective counted for sh*t then you wouldn't have fed this website BS rumors for several weeks and pretended that you were privy to inside information about conference re-alignment. If that didn't offer you a lesson in humility, then such a lesson might be beyond your reach.

Also, you are the moron (notice the spelling) if you believe that punching a dude straight to his face who was busy jawing and threw the first punch is "cowardly and thuggish." You need to think more and type less.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

moranic lol!***

LET THIS SUBJECT DIE

Sep 20, 2013, 3:19 PM

I doubt any of us avg fans really know why it happen.

the best thing we can do, is let this subject die.

Talk about...
how well the defense played, how good the young receivers
looked....Cat man, all time points leader etc.

Don't pad this subject with 79.

Problem is now other teams know you can get to Battle

Sep 20, 2013, 3:24 PM

Especially SCar will probably mess with him to try and get him to react. A punch is not typical football. Playing with somebody's head IS pretty typical especially if you are pretty sure you can affect their playing.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How does that make Battle's behavior any different?

Sep 20, 2013, 3:22 PM

Is your point at least we aren't as bad or something?

There are acceptable ways to be aggressive on the field. Taking a shot like that and dancing like you are ready for a real showdown is not one of those.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was unacceptable. Plain and simple.

Sep 20, 2013, 3:35 PM

He should be fairly punished and we all move on with our lives.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, off setting penalties, plus Spurrier suspended

Sep 20, 2013, 6:15 PM

them for their day off ;)

It is okay to hit guys on your own team, especially on the sidelines, as the refs can't call that. :-D
