gone without an NCAA bid in the past 30 years....if this is progress I'd hate to see regression

We should be happy where we are. We aren't a school where we can thrive at basketball. All of those other great years mean nothing now. At least that is what I have been told.

Shyatt went 4 years without an NIT bid and was fired after 5 seasons. Brownell will match that this year if we fail to get an NIT bid. Even if we limp into the NIT we really haven't done anything more. Shyatt actually won 5 games regular season ACC games in a 16 game conference schedule that year including a win over #1 rated UNC and finished the season with a 15-14 record. Brownell has had more time and honestly not shown himself anymore capable of running the program.

I actually think Shyatt was slightly worse than CBB. Yep - I think it's possible. Shyatt brought new meaning to the word "Shyatt".

Than he loses each year, but I don't see him ever getting us to the NCAA tournament. If we are OK with that kind of program, then we keep him. I'm just not OK with it. We've had other coaches that have gotten us there and I think we can do it again. Below average is definitely the standard for our BB program.

They at least feel like them.

At least with him we had the balls to fire him before he even got to play in the newly renovated Littlejohn, not so much this time around.
