attention guitar players

have any of yall hung your guitars up on the wall? If so does it damage the neck any? I want to hang mine up but I want to make sure it wont mess anything up on them. Im assuming no since most guitar stores have them hanging on the wall. but Ive heard people say it does. I dont know.

No damage. Just make sure the hanger you get is padded... most all are.

String Swing wall mounts are great.

I’m a Tele guy, so I’m always worried the hangers won’t fit the headstock correctly. With that being said, I’ve really been pleased with my String Swing wall mounts for all of my guitars.

The one thing that will really influence the neck is humidity. Just like wood floors move with humidity, guitar necks can move as well. The transition from a “dry” winter to a humid summer or vice versa can cause some serious changes to guitar necks.

TLDR: hang those bad boys. String Swing wall mounts work really well.

I have a tele too. not really my go to guitar though. I mostly play my Schecters and Ibanez, Im a metal head. just something about the EMG pickups and the floyd rose bridge lol. but like I said I do have a tele and a strat (required for every guitarist) lol.

I have a pair of vintage Gretsch hollowbody guitars that have hanging on display in my den for over a decade. No way in the world I would do that if I had even an iota of worry about it causing damage. Most music stores have them hanging on the walls as well, no way they do that if and take a chance on having their stock damaged before it ever gets sold.
