So be honest, which one did you want? Ralph Friedgen,

Gary Patterson, or Mike Leach?

There's something in these hills.

Patterson.

This question makes no sense

Sep 2, 2013, 12:18 PM

I thought you were asking about Ralph vs Morris for OC, but then you threw HC type candidates in there. Mike leach was never a consideration as HC here. He's too weird for CU. Gary Patterson would have been amazing here. Now as a far as Fridgen vs Morris for OC, I'll admit...I wanted the Fridge. Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.

Ralph was a head coach choice of many. By this point we'd

Sep 2, 2013, 12:23 PM

be on the roller coaster ride he took Maryland. Why has no one hired him?

I don't know if Leach was ever considered by our AD, but he was certainly thrown out there by several fans. Wow, what a mistake that would have been. That would have been worse than going to the Big 12.

Gary Patterson probably would have done about the same at Clemson as he's doing at TCU. Not bad, but I'll take Dabo all day every day.

What other names were folks throwing out there?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

A lot of people wanted Muschamp.

Sep 2, 2013, 2:15 PM

Glad that didn't happen.

I wanted Leach b/c of where cfb was going offensively***

You're saying you were vocal about Morris before he ever coached a down at Tulsa? That's cool! Got a link?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Should have said after watching him at Tulsa... but I saw

him in the spring and summer, before the season started

I'll be honest...

Sep 2, 2013, 1:12 PM

in no particular order Chip Kelly, Gary Patterson, and Mike Leach were my top three choices.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I honestly wanted Coach Swinney

Sep 2, 2013, 1:33 PM

I was not happy about it and had my doubts as to how he would be as a HC, but I did know Coach Swinney held the key to all of our recruits at the time. If he were to be released we would have had to literally start all over. Great question, its funny how things work out!

Go Tigers!
