if all the high school coaches in Louisiana boycott LSU because of the way the handled/fired their coaches after national signing day....it's being talked about now. Looks like it will happen.
Do you think he'll survive this? If he doesn't have recruiting in his own state, he's done!

Ed O will not be let go now.
On top of paying off Coach O - what would they do with the new assistants?
The state of Louisiana is in the crapper anyway. I have friends on the faculty at LSU worried about their jobs.
The AD, BOT and President would have to admit a huge mistake was made.

If they can stroke a check for $30 million - good for them.
Who would they hire after firing someone 2.5 MONTHS into a contract and a 6-2 record.
Particularly if contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on, as you say.
Players and coaches have short memories.

experiments in Louisiana(and Kansas and Wisconsin) hadn't failed so miserably, sending their economies into tailspins. But, they thought that spending $20 million to buy out Les and his staff and hire a new coach was bad PR given the dramatic cuts to higher ed in the state under Bobby Jindal and his henchmen.

And they did clean house this year - so they aren't firing everyone 2.5 months into the contract.

I'm not saying they fire him for sure, but he has a lot to overcome to keep his job. Not sure if y'all know, but Chip Kelly is just sitting there for the pick'n.
