That it would take an external threat to bring together the citizens of the world or even the citizens of United States. I’m starting to think that even an alien attack would not be able to bring everyone together. There would be people claiming it was all Hollywood special effects designed to make us OK with giving up our liberty and others accusing Trump of secretly working with the aliens. Some folks would be convinced the space ships hovering overhead were piloted by deep state connections to the bilderbergs, designed to overthrow Trump. How Do you know that’s not what they’re working on Area 51?

I'm getting at. I know a lot of liberal americans and I don't know even one that wants the US to be a communist country or invite the leader of China to run things. Sure, a lot of them want things moved left on the socialism, capitalism scale, but nobody wants to go that far left.

Half the people still believe that Trump conspired with Russia even without any supporting evidence yet refuse to call it faith. I respect faith but not when it's called anything but faith.
Dems call for Americans to unite. What you mean is 'Abandon your political position and come believe what I tell you to believe so we will have identical beliefs.' I am the radical rightwinger for pointing this out. Wanna meet in the middle? Were is that?

I recall those three networks being the primary news sources across America in the early days of television. There was a time when they represented the values of the average citizen. Now they represent the liberal values of the democrat party.
There was a time when they challenged politicians and questioned them for truth's sake. Now they defend a political position and we both know that the truth usually lies somewhere between and not in the extremes.
