If the offense is better, that could be the case.

To me, it'll be a matter of halves. I can see us giving up on average 5 points in the first half and 12 in the 2nd half.
If we average 10 points per quarter on offense, our defense could struggle late in games.

Not the starters . I expect that our rotation will be more active this season and I can see a scenario where our starters on both defense and offense are spelled more often and for more plays/per game this year .
On defense it could translate to incrementally higher points allowed in 2018. I am not doing anything but guessing here , but I hope my estimate is high by a touchdown .

we play a lot of people on defense, which creates depth but also allows for a few chunk plays here and there. If we give up in the 17-20 range, on the average, we should be fine. That's just my opinion and you know what is said about opinions. They're just like #### holes, Everybody's got one and they usually stink.

The only hope I've heard by any opposing fans online is their idea that our D-lineman are going to be so busy thinking about their future NFL paychecks that they will mentally check out of the games. You know, like Clowney in his senior season.

I think it might be a little higher than people expect. As our talent rich playmaker offense puts the game away. Coach BV will start putting 3rd and 4th stringers and possibly a band member or two in and the opposing team may score 1 or 2 trash TD's

When a 5* freshman DE is 4th on the depth chart... Yeah, it's absurd.
