Yesterday was a lesson to me in appreciating this run we've

been on.
I was sitting in DV yesterday watching the clock just bleed away and NC St running it slowly and inevitably towards a chip shot field goal and I started preparing myself mentally for the loss. Being in a pissy mood at the tailgate, stewing the whole ride home, not watching any football the rest of the day, blocking out CFB media for the next few days, you know, the usual post-loss depression for those of us who take this thing way too seriously, and I realized "#### it's been a LONG time since I've felt that way."
We've been on one #### of a run the last few years and I for one have been too busy either looking forward to the next game or criticizing minutia on T-Net to fully appreciate how long it's been since I've gone through the post-game grieving process.
Do you realize, we haven't lost a game to an unranked team in 5 years?
We haven't lost a game at home in 3 years?
We haven't lost a regular season game or a conference game in 2 years?
I don't care how you're winning games, pretty, ugly, close, blowout, that's amazing.
We all know somewhere in the backs of our minds, that this run ain't gonna last forever. At some point we're going to drop a game to a conference team or an unranked team and it will seem like the end of the world. College football is cyclical like that. We've seen it happen to Oregon, Oklahoma, and Sanford this year. We've also seen it happen to the Coots, but in a very satisfying karmic way! So maybe we all need to take a minute and appreciate where we are right now during the bye week.
GO TIGERS!!!

With that win. I had done all that mental 'loss preparation' just like you.
To win that game and this ride not end, was amazing.
I came away more happy for that, than I was disappointed in the all the negatives pointed out today.

That's exactly what my dad and I talked about yesterday on the ride home. They had an article in the Clemson newspaper about Tommy Bowden this week also. You really do have to be greatful for a win. No matter how it was accomplished.

losing a game prior to the bye week is the worst...all I could think about once State crossed the 50 on their final possession.

and I need to slow down and appreciate it. We will lose....Whether it's the next game, or later down the road. When that happens, we need to prepare to not act like a bunch of middle school girls. Let's not bash coaches, players, administration, or officials when they day comes. Take it like a big boy. With that said, Beat the Noles!

Mental loss preperation= having your pride taken.
That was a horrible feeling ????
But then, the impossible happened ??

We were talking during the drive up about how it would feel when we finally lose. I know we lost the Natty, but I wasn't there and it seems sort of unreal. Losing an ACC game, a rivalry game, or especially a home game is very real. When the NCSt kicker was lining up to kick the field goal, I said " well, I guess we'll find out how it feels to lose."
