This just demonstrates that the ACC media are lazy and ignorant.

The program is on the rise. It will just take time for the more talented players to acquire experience. Unless there are major injuries, we will not finish next to last.

We must be watching different teams

I've seen a program on a crash course back towards irrelevancy. We have been worse each year under Brownwell. We went from an exiciting 5 year NCAA tourn run team (albeit not to successful in tournament) to far far away from a NIT bid. The style of play is horrendously boring and playing good teams like Duke and UNC I am confident we have zero chance of winning unlike in the past when there was an actual chance. Brownwell seems like a great guy a Tommy Bowden type but his players have not bought into his system (supported by the transfers) and besides from a few recruiting has been on par w/ Div 1-AA.

We'll be better this year, but I don't think this projection

is unreasonable. It is what it is, we've got some missing pieces and some inexperienced pieces. The season after this one should be bearable as we get to be better seasoned all around.

10-15 is really a toss up-why is that important?

Some speculating the ACC will get 9-10 teams in the tournament this year. NCS has to replace 4 starters and lacks depth big time. GT is GT. Miami lost top 6 scorers and must replace everyone. Wake, well is, Wake. VT was bad WITH the nation's leading scorer but has some interesting pieces. Us, well, we shoot much better, we will surprise some folks. Time will tell

I think we will be a pleasant surprise this year. I could see us finishing as high as 9th or 10th this year and a couple of spots better next year..

We will pound Syracuse. Their team is so over rated.

I will take our point guard over their point guard any day.
Yes I expect to win! What is wrong with that?
Clemson is going to make Syracuse look like little boys. They will wish they never joined the ACC!

It might be 30 years before we win an ACC Championship...

Unless we spend obscene money on facilities and (maybe) a coach. Seriously, it's the only way we can compete in the ACC now. We don't have the tradition that UNC, Duke, Syracuse has. So, we got to get kids here and build a program the other way.

And I like watching Clemson basketball. However, if we have to start choosing to dump in one or the other, football is our bread and butter.

We are watching the same team but you are all wrong about Brownell

The team has struggled the past two years on that your right. You are also right in saying that recruiting hasn't gone well. Your right in saying the style is not as fast pace as OP's style was. But as far as comparing Brownell to Bowden you are not watching the same game. Bowden had the recruits and the star power and couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper sack. Brownell on the other hand has come into a young team and got a late start on his first recruiting year. He had injuries on some of the guys that were starting to play well. With all this going against him he still was able to effectively game plan and be competitive. Be patient you will see this program turn around. Several times this past year I've watched Brownell call a time out and fix a problem in game. OP could not do that if his press didn't work you were going to lose period.
