Who else hopes ESPN loses the P5 College Football Playoffs

Broadcast rights after 2025? I’d like to see NBC or FOX replace ESPN, I don’t enjoy watching a ESPN game, they constantly talk over the play on the field about other subjects.
Also what is the P5 doing with the $470 million per year from ESPN? That’s 94 million per conference, they don’t distribute 1/3 of that amount, so where is it going?

Netflix or one of the other major streaming services should run the numbers and see if buying the rights to televise would boost their revenue. I would not like it, because I don't do paid streaming services. Apple, Disney, Netflix, Amazon, will sooner or later be in the hunt for lots of the sports tv market.

Netflix doesn’t have the infrastructure to do live broadcast, but they could easily buy it since they’re the most valuable entertainment company in the world with a market cap of 151 billion.

Be careful what you wish for.... unless you actually want Gus doing the PBP in the title game.
Say what you want about ESPN but they are good at broadcasting live sports.

As much as I despise them sometimes, one of the things ESPN does well is broadcast college football games.
In particular, I think they do a great job broadcasting college football playoff, especially the championship game.
it might be good if they lost the playoff to loosen their grip on the sport. That's the only reason I can think of.
