Y'all act like you wasn't told anything.....

.....but for a matter a fact I remember distinctly reading articles that said it may be 3 to 4 weeks before Jack had the line-up and rotation that he thought was best for his team, yet some of you either don't remember or just don't give a crap. We have ,not exactly sure,I think somewhere in the neighbor hood of 16-19 freshmen on this team so yes its going to take a few weeks to figure your best rotation and line-up out. To some of you it doesn't matter because its all or nothing there's no middle ground or no grey area it just is or isn't with you fire Jack guys. Jack has help Clemson become the what 4th most winningest program in the country since he has been at Clemson and Clemson by itself before Jack is already the 9th winningest in the country of all-time but thats not good enough for some of you guys. So next time you are at the university how about you go ahead and go by A.D. Rad's office and put your resume on his desk seeing how y'all know what's best for the university that I claim to be the best in the world because I love the Clemson Tigers with everything that I am outside of my family. So go ahead let your true colors show and I will continue to support my university like I always have and continue to understand that sometimes you have to go through the growing pains to get to where you want to be.....

But the most important thing is winning championships, and that has not happened

That's all well and good, but this is Clemson baseball, our 3rd string players should be able to beat W&M and pretty handily I might add. The fact is that our recruiting has been subpar in terms of some stud pitchers and bullpen arms. It seems we come close to winning the big games, but can never close, due to lack of consistent pitching and hitting. We should NEVER get embarrassed by teams like W&M , it's inexcusable!!!! I am sure the COOTs are laughing their a$$es. We shouldn't need a month to figure out how to beat a team like W&M!!!!

That assertion is ridiculous. Your world beating Coots lost last year at Division II Francis Marion - a team considerably lower on the baseball totem pole than William and Mary. Did they laugh their a$$es off at themselves?

ANY team can beat any other team in baseball. Doesn't matter how "good" either is. A hot-handed pitcher can shut down a team loaded w/ CWS sluggers on the right day. Freaking out over one game is just silly...

And we care that the Coots laugh at anything?***

Do you realize that baseball is NOTHING like football. One

pitcher can single handed dominate a game, unlike football. Check out the scores this first week and see how many "W&M's" beat better known teams. Lastly, WHY be obsessed with what the coots think???

badge-donor-05yr.jpg

Who cares what SC fans think?...

They lost to D2 Francis Marion last year.

Re: Re: Y'all act like you wasn't told anything.....

No but I was laughing at them!!! We NEVER used to lose to lower tier talent, but now it seems common place, I think we lost our first series last year to a weak team, just SICK of it!!! I guess it's acceptable to you!!!

Then be man enough to be laughed at and take it. Can't take

it, don't dish it, pretty simple!!

"NEVER" is usually code for "since I started watching" which in the case of most people posting about baseball is sometime around the time South Carolina eliminated us from the CWS. We've almost "ALWAYS" lost games to smaller schools as does everyone else - that's baseball. We just get to enjoy it being under a microscope for fans that don't go to or watch the games because of South Carolina's success.

You're wrong...

but that's not news.

Re:My resume was sent a long time ago. I will work a whole

lot cheaper and if no improvement is made then they can have my low salary back.

HELLO!!! They hit the ball all over the yard against our D one pitching!!! It's not just a hot pitcher, did you see what FSU did to their opponent?!! We should beat them like a drum!

Never said anything before but Clemson Baseball has really been in a decline for a long time since Wilhelm.

Don't forget that W&M team averaged over .280 and 6+ runs/gm as a team last year. They're no slouch as an offense. No excuses but that team is going to score some runs this year.

So what you are saying is..

...Leggett is the Marv Levy of college baseball. Gets wins in bunches but can't win a championship to save his life.

Clemson needs to help Jack bring JUCOs

Posted: Feb 16, 2013 11:20 PM

That is how Tanner did it. In baseball a JUCO can come in and be productive immediately.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg

Newsflash!...

Posted: Feb 16, 2013 11:23 PM

Clemson has 2 JUCOs on this team. Geez. Tanner also "did it" by having his administration spend 30 million on a new stadium.

I had heard that Clemson was working to allow more JUCOs

Posted: Feb 17, 2013 1:47 PM

I know that JUCOs are not the only reason SCar has surpassed us in baseball.

We just need better players !!! Come on we lost to William & Mary !!!

Oh enough already !

Posted: Feb 17, 2013 1:35 AM

Despite all the "Chicken Littlers" on here the state of Clemson baseball is better than fine...we are still in the upper echelon. Results will always determine success...and the final results are at seasons end. Quit with all the SKY IS FALLING/FIRE LEGGETT nonsense...baseball is a long season and a game 2 loss to W&Mary isnt the end of the world. Everyone knows that smaller schools can compete with the traditionally stronger conferences and that we are a VERY young team. Stop whining about a decline and who gives a rats rear end about the Sackerlina baseball team.

Moving on to the next game...be supportive and Go TIGERS !

Viztiz- I have been watching since the 80's. I am not here to candy coat our program like others, I am telling it like it is! I hope we beat them senseless tomorrow, but seeing the results of these first two games it's not likely. Stop pumping sunshine when it's not there and wake up and sniff reality! The program has taken a giant step back and I am pushing for improvement not regression! I under stand we have some young players , but it's time to step up to the plate! Look what the shamecocks did last year with their young roster... NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!

Well for someone your age you are acting like a petulant child. Since you continue to use SC as the measuring stick I'll point out again they lost to a D-II school last year. That's not like D2 used to be in football. there are over 300 D1 programs. Francis Marion is beneath those. Lets see, two of the last three seasons we've been eliminated by SC who have played for the championship three straight. If you don't have the emotional stability to handle the fact that South Carolina actually got better than us at something then move on and quit pretending this is about losing to William and Mary. Ray Tanner, Roth, and Price are gone. That program, while still great, will be a shell of what it was and is going to turn on their new coach and the their hero, now AD, when he refuses to make a change - since he actually knows better. They have put themselves in a no-win situation and I can't wait to see it play out. If is further ridiculous to continue to push for Clemson to fire a coach the same year he is inducted in that sports' Hall of Fame. It makes you seem like a nimrod. Short of a serious personal incident (committing a crime of some sort) Clemson is not going to fire Jack Leggett. So to go on and on about how they should is just deliberately inflammatory. You are on the record. You can pull up your post history and give a hearty "I told you so" if things actually get bad. Until then quit spitting in the wind about a team you profess to like and offer something constructive. If you're pushing for improvement I guess I can expect to see your name on a capital improvement project at the field? Anyone who has been watching since the 80s would know the facility gap is one of two major problems we have in keeping up with SC. The other is the rising cost of tuition at Clemson vs. SC. Since all baseball scholarships are partial it makes SC far more affordable for a lot of these kids. Not a minor consideration especially when you figure a lot of the best prospects are turning down a cash signing bonus to play pro ball to come to college in the first place.

You are pushing for improvement not regression ? How exactly ? By complaining about a poorly played game on the teams message board ? That is some real concerted effort right there...you must be exhausted.
None of us like yesterdays game but crying about it and predicting calamity isnt exactly changing a culture. Get over it...and get over yourself.

is doing great. Flawed logic. Keep enjoying the death of Clemson baseball. I don't.

The death of Clemson baseball ? That sounds drastic. We have never won a baseball national championship...until we do that it is all uphill. There is no death without first being born.
