cannot and continue to make excuses and insist that we cannot are wrong. Those of us who love Clemson basketball need to fight that negativity and those self-fulfilling low expectations.
Build it and they will come.

I just think we can be a good basketball program. Oliver Purnell took us to 4 straight NCAA Tournament appearances, so we know what is possible at a minimum.
We can be good. It's not as impossible as some of you may pretend.

I also think we can be better and think we're in a tough spot financially and probably are going to have to either hope Brownell gets it going (and support the team meantime), or wait 2-3 years when the buyout makes more sense.

From a Louisville fan and yes you can!!! It all starts with recruiting. If you would have gotten PJ Dozier the local kid you would be a different team. That said your current team is better than 50% of the Big 10 60% of the PACand Big 12, and 90% of the SEC.

1 appearance in ACC Finals
2 sweet 16's
I graduated in 97.
Not trying to be a smartarse, but just courteous what is truly our expectations? Do Duke football fans have expecatations of reaching a New Years 6 Bowl?
I just know we aren't getting it done right now.

It is kind of a catch 22. Clemson basketball will become great when it starts generating enough money to make it great. Clemson Basketball will not generate that money until it becomes great.
Which schools are elite at both Basketball and football?

we were at least a mediocre team. Everybody is frustrated. This is the year we have been building for and everyone pointed to as the year that Coach Brownell would get us over the hump.
It doesn't take a top 5 basketball coach to see the lack of progress over the last 7 years and understand why it's happening.

There are small schools with poor facilities and no national recognition in Baseball or Football that have great Basketball programs.
Settling for Clemson Basketball mediocrity is sad at best, and cootish at worst.
