It's not about content. It is a structural change in the industry driven by new technology which is allowing consumers to break free from paying for unnecessary content they never watched.

Good for consumers overall. Bad for ESPN unless they change their model and charge those who love sports more money.

But this is not punishment to ESPN for having an opinion. Much bigger than that.
