it took the police 45 minutes to get here when my moms house got broken into. #livesinthesticks
I still have the signs etc. and the alarm will go off. Hopefully that would be enough to scare someone off.

It cost less than half what other systems cost to install. Monitoring is cheep. Best part is they do not call you if you have a false alarm and disarm it yourself within 1 minute. PLUS, I can put sensors on the safes. If they open a door on a safe, or maybe get lucky with a jackhammer, hydraulic lift, and a big truck, it will still go off.
Add security cameras and you're gold.

konnected.io to integrate w/ my Wink (smarthome z-wave/zigbee hub) so I can just use the hardwired sensors I've got in place...
either that, or I switch over to Smartthings

anything for the first 4 months we were in the house...never tried to use it/arm it....
then one day, after already having gone in/out the front door a few times, the whole thing lit up and started going nuts.
I had no code or anything to disarm it, so I Had to disconnect the power & battery from the control board.
still haven't figured out how to get that powered back up w/o it losing it's ####
