Oct 28, 2016, 11:41 AM

Here's to hoping we use it early and often against the Noles.

It seems the shorter the yardage the worse we block it conventionally. I'd run this everytime till it get stopped

My thoughts exactly

It's like a Swiss-army knife formation, it leaves wide open holes for Gallman, but also lets Wilkins demonstrate his athleticism on the HB Counter and short-passing situations. Nobody has stopped it yet, and I find it hard to believe anyone has the personnel to stop an 800+ pound backfield.

Nice article, but I don't think the Fridge was 380 at CU***

I saw an ESPN 30 for 30 that said Perry was nearly 380 at the time of the draft

Maybe that was from weight gained after his last season at Clemson. I've seen sources saying he weighed everywhere from 360-385 at Clemson, but it's hard to know for sure since the resources we have providing roster/player info currently is far more detailed and well-documented than it was in the '80s

William Perry never carried nor caught the ball

Oct 28, 2016, 12:20 PM

while at Clemson. And he was around 305 as a freshman. But Danny Ford never used him on offense. Now what did happen in the Gator Bowl against Stanford when The Fridge was in his hey day with Chicago was Danny Ford put Michael Dean in at taiback but alas he never got a carry as the game ended.
