I must say that I'm surprised by the snub of DMAC by the NFL .. first the draft now he gets waived!?! Regardless of what happens in his future... he was an exciting college player!

If your're good enough they don't throw your way.

Offenses learned not to throw the ball where Deandre was. Thats why the DB from LSU had such high accolades but not awe inspiring stats. He covered key players well enough to make them a non-factor so the ball wasn't thrown their way.

...not initially stick before catching on elsewhere. Heck, last night in that NYG v NYJ game I heard the names of several coot scrubs that weren't drafted from several years back. Granted, they might still get cut, but years later here they are on a squad late in the preseason.
Not sure if DMac has a lingering injury or what? I really hope he can work it out. At one point he was projected the number one safety that would be taken in 2011.

Saw DMac as high as Top 20 1st Round Projection after Jr Yr

What really happened? Slow? Bad attitude? Bad Wonderlic? Unable to recover from arm injury? At beginning of last year, DMac was talk of sspring/summer camps ... then he disappeared and Gilchrist surfaced. Hope DMac sticks it out with another team. He could hit.

It was always fun watching him play on defense. I'm sure someone will come along and sign him. Like he said, God has a plan.

I hate it for him, but I don't feel sorry for him. The kid can play Football, and he will end up on a team some where in his near future. I will be a fan of his b/c he will always be a Tiger, and he was a ### good one. He brought the fear that we talk about from the past!!!

would have been a 1st-2nd rounder had he gone after his Junior year, and DaQuan would likely have gone higher had he stuck around for his Senior year. Such is life.

he dropped because of the arthritis in his knee. Otherwise he was projected as the #1 overall pick. You can't get much higher than that
