For UT, it's all about "fit", and they haven't had a good

fit since Fulmer. The thinking is, I believe, that he gets it, that he knows what's good for Tennessee. We'll see, but it makes a lot of sense to me, at least more than anything they've done so far.

Desperate, clueless, hopeless, take your pick.i feel no pity for them. Post Danny Ford days some UT fans talked down on Clemson as if they had been a football power for the 20th century.

Gosh, I don’t know, maybe because he was really successful there as a coach?

He’s also an alum. They need someone who understands the culture there, cares about the program, and brings some legitimacy to the job. I don’t know if he will do a good job as AD, but they needed to do something to inspire some confidence from their boosters, fans, and college football as a whole. I think it was a great move, given the situation.
