It's not. No one expected USC to win that game. I don't even believe that their fans did. Serious.
Also, when they lose big like that, the excuses don't flow. Usually, they just admit that they got flat out beat. And their radio stations don't ignore it and try to spin it.
It's like when you admit you did something wrong...people actually give you a little bit of grace. Don't admit it or try and make it something its not, they'll hound you forever

Which $CU fans and radio personalities have you been listening to becasue that doesn't sound anything like the Capons with which I am familiar.
$CU fans are some of the biggest spin doctors and excuse makes in existence.

Heath cline is one...really the only one that I can listen to with my job.
I don't remember Mickey talking much about the loss...just some other things, but not specifically the loss.
Also, didn't Dabo say that FSU wasn't that much better? And Tahj said that FSU didn't beat them, we beat ourselves.
That is what I mean

They lost by 8 I think during the regular season. So if I was a fan of their team I would think we had a chance too. Clearly they did not though.

They only lost by a TD in regular season AT Auburn...

so I'm pretty sure on a neutral field with 25,000+ of their own fans present, they expected to at least have a shot at the win.

I still remember one of USuC's LBs getting freight trained by Cam into the endzone...a thing of beauty.

That was a win for SCar. By letting Auburn beat them handily they assured they would be healthy for the championship game. All for the greater good of the SEC.

That is an impressive list of beat downs over the years. I would think that SC knows that's a part of their history and can't deny it. Shoot, for Clemson I can only think of the Orange Bowl bombing by WV, and last Saturday's scalping by FSU. Can't recall any others? However, I'm not too sure about "WEOWNUSC", don't think we've played them since 1966, and that was 30-0 if I recall. As far as the ##### go, it's more of a lease plan, going on 4 years till November 30. Maybe the Tigers break that lease this year, or else they will sign up for one more year.

Did you not listen to Dabo after the game, he said we flat out got our tails handed to us, he didn't offer any excuses yet people are still dwelling on it....forget it and move on to Maryland !!!

ESECPN non stop doesn't mean our fans have to get their panties in a wad, hate on some of the best players we have, and in general act like a little girl pitching a fit because she didn't get her way.

You're missing my point….

There is nothing wrong with being upset about the loss, but it's despicable the vitriol our fan base has spewed towards the best QB we have ever had. This loss burns, and it burns bad. I hate to lose. I still feel the burn from the fsu loss in '88, the fsu loss in '99, losing to duke and gt in '89, losing to gt in '04 over botched punt, and many more. But that's the way things go. You're team isn't going to win every single game. And national championships are hard to win.
With the logic of a lot of these Tajh haters, they would have hated Steve Fuller (who never won a national title), Danny Ford (who lost to gt and duke in '89 even though we had a significant talent advantage over those teams), and Frank Howard (who had a 14-15 vs the coots, a 4 loss streak to the coots, and a 3 loss streak to the coots) . Sorry, but Tajh is the only QB in Clemson history who as a starter earned victories over Auburn, UGA, FSU, and LSU. He owns pretty much all the passing records in Clemson history. Only Phillip Rivers has more passing TD's and total TD's in ACC history. With all of those things accomplished, these fans have been waiting to hate on Tajh all season long. Waiting for loss so they can spew out there hatred. But this kind of behavior is not surprising in a world where most people spend more time on the computer, than communicating with people they actually know.

Maybe give it a year

Maybe a year from now the debacle from Saturday night will be forgotten as well, at least relatively speaking. Lots of teams have epic fails, the one from Saturday just happens to be the most recent and why everyone is talking about it.
