active proponent for it. He dutifully understands the costs to the conference's programs that are producing not only 80% of today's media revenue, as documented alongside yesterday's announcement, but are also being held responsible for lifting the overall value of the league over the next five years by producing more on the gridiron.

I wouldn't be surprised if that deal hasn't been cut already as part of the new exit fee and Notre Dame announcement. They'll probably sit on it for a while and roll it out on a slow news day when the time is right.
