I think Howard and Gallman are at the top of the list

Aug 5, 2014, 9:04 PM

But any of the backs could have a breakout year. I think the # of yards at the end of the season will look something like:
Gallman
Howard
Davidson
Brooks
Dye
Fleming

I base this off of Howard finally getting his ball carrying together and him being a senior (Dabo likes seniority.) I see Brooks being used more as a receiver out of the backfield than anything. Same as Davidson, his strength seems to be jet sweeps, which count as passes. Dye is near the bottom because of his injury.

Don't know. CDS says DJ is the leader of the group

Aug 5, 2014, 9:07 PM

And he says he looks better than he has at any point here.

That being said, I think one of the CJ's, Brooks, or Wayne. Is that a good enough answer?

I can't tell if it's a good thing that there isn't a real standout guy. We could have just a bunch of mediocre guys this year between lacking in ability or lacking in experience and knowledge. I hope not though.

Wayne Gallman... He is the most impressive so far (IMO)***

Davidson has the break-away speed to rack up huge yardage, but Gallman & DJ Howard will get the most carries.

So - CJD gets the nod for most yards.

Gallman and Howard have breakaway speed too. Just watch these fellows in action this year. If Howard continue to look good he is going to win over alot of fans. Just wait and see. No, Can't Wait!!!

What do you mean? Yards? Yards/carry? TDs? Carries?

Aug 5, 2014, 10:02 PM

If total yards, I say DJ Howard.

If yards per carry, I say CJ Davidson.

If TDs, I say DJ Howard.

If carries, I say DJ Howard.

I'm don't know if you people watched Howard over the years, but isn't good. He may be the senior and has leadership but he lacks talent.

Keep your eyes on Howard this year. You might be surprise. He surely doesn't seen to be playing in the past. This guy appears to be moving on in more ways than others.

not sure but you can count on a significant up on the per

game total this year out of the backs.

Anyone else notice.....

Aug 5, 2014, 11:20 PM

how fast it seems a player's career goes by once you start following recruiting. I started the year we brought in Blanks, Reader, Brooks, etc. Can't believe these guys will be seniors after this year.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Brooks and/ or Howard will have around 700 yards

Aug 5, 2014, 11:40 PM

Gallman will have about 400, Davidson will probably have 200 or 300. I think Dye may have about 200 or 300 by the end of the year.

I can Choice adding some yards, maybe even significant enough yards to replace Dye/ Davidson if he really comes on.

Tyson dye, he will make it back before long. He is already participating in drills, just no contact. He is the most complete and ready back (not 100% healthy though). However I think that gallman Howard and Davidson will all be pretty close and not far behind. DJ will be the leader at the halfway point. Dye is a competitor and much like lattimore will fight and not lie down. He is the biggest, knows the offense, fast, natural running back.

My money is on a freshman.. Adam Choice.. that kid looks like a bowling ball.. he weighed in at 216 and is stacked.. If he learns the offense quickly enough he has the break away speed and the size to contribute greatly to this offense.. But we shall see
