NBC Sports and NASCAR was a bad decision by NASCAR.

NBC thinks showing volleyball, Tour d France and global off-road racing is more important than showing NASCAR at Indy on their main channel. I would fire heads for that decision. NASCAR has to be mad behind the scenes over this.

If you remember Fox bumped a good many to Fox1 too

They think they can use NASCAR ratings as leverage

for the cable providers to include their shiny new channel. The problem with that is that ratings aren't what they were and the NASCAR crowd will go listen on the radio just for spite.

Just $.02, I didn't watch the race or see the stands, but that place seats about 3 times what a normal track does, so a Charlotte sell out crowd would look pretty thin sitting in Indy. They need to buy some tarps and squeeze everybody together, lol. Maybe it was bad, I don't know. Even at 150,000, I'd consider it good in 2015.
