And filming is actually good as it documents the event and would be the best way to assist the teacher.

I was probably the worse human being I've ever been in 8th grade, and I don't think scuffling with a teacher would have crossed my mind.

a teacher standing buy while one kid manages to kill the other. Then the outrage will be why said teacher didn't do anything. Well, Society, it is because you made it so teachers couldn't break up a fight without fear of assault charges.

Looks to me like the teacher handled this wrong. Instead of confronting the student the teacher should have immediately contacted the office for administration and school safety officers. That is what my wife is instructed to do the second a student disregards a command. They have people in the school who are trained to deal with situations like these.

able to discipline them for fear of being sued, fired, and/or imprisoned. If I had to bet on it I would say that kid will be in prison within the next 3 years.
