What hurts us most in recruiting is a lack of OL tradition

Jul 24, 2015, 8:53 AM

We've put a few guys in the league, but none have been high draft picks. However, all it takes is for one guy or one class to change the narrative. If Hyatt beasts and last year's OL class does what we all expect it will do, this won't be a problem in the future. Look at what Nuk and Sammy did for our WR reputation.

You mean current OL tradition

Clemson needs to invite back the Big Uglies from the 80's and ramp it up for our current class and future classes.

I believe if this crop of OL remain
healthy, they will set the new standard.

I have a feeling that is about to change though..

Crowder certainly has the potential to be a 1st or 2nd round pick in 2 years, and Hyatt and Fruhmorgen do as well.

Crowder will have a hard time playing in the NFL he's probably only 6'1 or 6'2

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If he was a tackle, then yes it would be tough...

Jul 24, 2015, 9:15 AM

But as a true OG, he should still make the NFL at 6'2 if he lives up to his potential over the next 2 years.
